FACILITIES UPDATE
The journey to redefine luxury at Samara Lombok is in full swing, and we are thrilled to share the latest construction progress across our facilities. Hot off the heels of complete floor installation last month, our construction team has now started to work on plastering the walls of the Farm Shop’s interior. This captivating space will be part of the Tiga Kelapa farm-to-table restaurant.
Prior to our resort opening, the space will temporarily function as our Marketing Office, where our clients can immerse themselves in design dialogues to build their dream villa with the help of our team.
Over at Samara Bay, as our construction team are channelling their expertise into building the second floor’s block wall architecture structure. With each block meticulously laid, we’re shaping the future of luxury living.

Straight from the heart and lungs of Samara Lombok, this month our Organic Gardens have proudly reaped a splendid harvest of asparagus and pumpkins!
What makes it even more special? Every step of our meticulous process, from planting to packaging, is certified organic. Indulge in the pure goodness of nature, knowing that each bite tells a story of dedication to quality and sustainability.
EMPOWERING CHANGE THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
Beyond our stunning vistas and tranquil shores, Samara Lombok’s community team is actively involved in a range of initiatives to elevate the standards of living in South Lombok, with programs revolving around waste management, educational improvements, and curriculum support.
We also have 10 local schools joining us so far in our foster school program, where we guide each school to implement the Samara Standards of weekly English and Sports Classes, 1-2 waste bin stations installed within the school grounds to educate them on the importance of waste management, Organic School Garden where students can explore ways to create homegrown fruits and vegetables, along with weekly healthy snacks provided by our team.
Waste management is also a big focus, where our team have set up 68 bin stations, that’s 136 bins altogether in the villages around South Lombok. Our team also swings by twice a week to make sure that waste is collected. And it doesn’t stop there – our employees and school classes from the local community join forces every month for a massive clean-up, resulting in a staggering 14,880kg of waste collected so far.
MORE DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM KUALA LUMPUR TO LOMBOK
Indonesia’s budget-friendly airline, Super Air Jet unveils a non-stop international route connecting Lombok to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, starting August 23, 2023. The international service will be operated on an Airbus 320-200 boasting 180 seats in economy class.
This new route not only opens a new pathway for travellers but also a significant stride towards boosting connectivity and fostering regional economic.
DOMESTIC TOURISM SURGES
Indonesia’s domestic tourism sector experienced a remarkable boost in 2023, with a staggering 433.57 million trips recorded in the first half of the year. This marks an impressive 12.6% increase compared to the same period in 2022.
Among the provinces that shine brightly in this surge, Lombok and Sumbawa stands out with an extraordinary growth rate of 158.8% compared to last year. The province’s strategic efforts to enhance its tourism infrastructure, including improved connectivity and upgraded facilities, have transformed it into a more accessible and alluring destination for travellers.
LOMBOK TARGETS 4 MILLION TOURISTS IN 2023
Stepping into the spotlight of 2023, Lombok has its sights set on welcoming 4 million tourists, hailing from both home soil and abroad, propelled by Lombok’s thriving sports tourism, which finds its epicenter in the Mandalika region.
Prepare for an exhilarating lineup of events, including the much-anticipated MotoGP in October and the globally acclaimed long-distance cycling extravaganza, Gran Fondo New York, set to unfold in November.
