We are now in full swing on both villa and facilities development, where we currently have over 50 villas under construction, which is a major milestone towards our Official Launch. Meanwhile, we are continuing to make excellent progress on our facilities, including putting the final touches to our first Clubhouse Suite show unit at Samara Bay and all 10 rooms in our Samara Hills Hotel, ahead of welcoming our first guests next year.

KELAPA RESTAURANT, NOW OPEN FOR LUNCH


We have recently opened our first restaurant at Samara Hills, which is called Kelapa Restaurant. Kelapa, translated as Coconut, forms one part of our larger Tiga Kelapa (Three Coconuts) main hospitality hub at Samara Hills, with construction of the other areas well underway.
Our restaurant is fully air-conditioned and now open for lunch from Monday to Friday, using a large variety of produce from our Organic Gardens. Bookings are by prior reservation only.

The Clubhouse structure is complete with 3 restaurants currently under design, including all day dining, Japanese and a signature Asian Fusion restaurant, all designed and menus curated by our culinary partner Will Meyrick.


Given the prime location of the Clubhouse and Clubhouse Suites, we have finished the main structures of the buildings and now focussing on villa construction around these buildings to catch up, so we can open all at the same time rather than in the middle of a construction heavy neighbourhood. We are pleased to share latest images of our show Suite at the Samara Bay Clubhouse as well as a latest video showing some good villa construction progress around the Clubhouse and Clubhouse Suites as we step up our focus to open both our facilities and villas at Samara Bay at the same time.
SAMARA HILLS HOTEL, OPENING NEXT YEAR!

We are delighted to announce that our Samara Hills Hotel will be opening in April 2026. With 10 beautifully designed rooms, the Samara Hills Hotel is located in the middle of our organic gardens and forms a key part of our community empowerment programme. Our goal is a five star hospitality experience delivered by both our Samara Lombok salaried hospitality team who each pair up and mentor one of our local community students as part of our hospitality training programme. Samara Lombok currently supports over 1400 school children each month in anything from food, nutrition, health, sport, waste management and general well-being for both the students as well as their family.

At our Samara Hills Hotel, the older students who live in the local villages are invited to an internship programme with us to learn all the key hospitality training skills, before hopefully graduating to a salaried income in one of our facilities or one of your villas. Our vision is their story and up-bringing, becomes a story for you during your stay, and ultimately the Samara Lombok story is told by our students, staff as well as by you and your guests through word of mouth. Our vision is an experience rich journey with good food and wine, but made more memorable by the experiences you have and the people you meet from our community during your stay.

During your stay, you may decide to participate in one of our community projects, or enjoy five-star experiences including spa, wellness, surf, watersports, beach tours, cycling tours, food tasting, cooking lessons, school tours and much more. We will be launching these rooms to stay from 01 April 2026, but you can join our mailing list now where we will be releasing our rates and availability in January 2026. Been following us for a while in Lombok and felt it was not the right time for you? This past high season (June–September 2025), South Lombok hotels were running at 90–100% occupancy, showing just how far the island has come as a tourism destination.
The growth isn’t just anecdotal. Lombok welcomed 3.2 million domestic visitors in 2024, more than 50% above pre-COVID levels. Major events like the MotoGP Mandalika 2025 are adding further pressure, with hotel rates already rising by nearly 20% ahead of the race.
Air links are improving too. The NTB government is working to restore a direct Lombok–Perth connection by late 2025, while airlines like TransNusa are boosting Perth–Bali flights to meet strong Australian demand. With Australians making almost 1.7 million trips to Indonesia in 2024/25 Lombok is increasingly in their sights.
