EXPLORING GREATER LOMBOK
Outside of the abundance of guest experiences within Samara Lombok and the surrounding areas, such as Selong Belanak, Kuta and the Mandalika Project, there are a plethora of immersive day trips further afield in Lombok.
The Southern Gilis, just 45 min from Samara Lombok, offer some of the best diving and snorkelling excursions in the region. By booking with your personal concierge, you can custom design a day to remember including a private car and boat to a remote island for unparalleled diving and snorkelling followed by a catered lunch on a deserted island beach with your feet in the sand.

Or head north with your hiking boots on to trek to one of Lombok’s many iconic waterfalls, such as Sendang Gile at the base of Lombok’s Mount Rinjani, Indonesia’s second-highest volcano. Enjoy sites along the way such as the Monkey Forest road and lunch at the iconic Tugu Hotel.

The construction of our Samara Bay facilities is making good progress with the Clubhouse roof now on. The Clubhouse has been designed as a Day Club with panoramic views over South Lombok and facilities include a restaurant, bar, gym, and spa, as well as two swimming pools, an expansive lawn and various sunny and shaded areas to watch the world go by.
This month also saw the roof and windows completed of our Farm Shop, which will start life as a client villa design office. The design office team will use Virtual Reality technology to enable clients to both fully immerse themselves in their villa designs and to virtually tour the site to see the future look of the facilities.
