INDONESIA’S NEW TOURISM HOTSPOT
Images of the inaugural World Superbike Championships at the Mandalika MotoGP Circuit, as well as the opening of a new highway in South Lombok
We reached a major milestone in November, as we welcomed the inaugural World Superbike Championships to South Lombok. The race was hosted at the new MotoGP Circuit at Mandalika, a $3 billion government-backed eco-tourism project located just 25 minutes driving distance from Samara Lombok. Beyond the MotoGP circuit, there has been significant infrastructure work underway across South Lombok. The new BIL-Mandalika Bypass Highway which connects the International Airport to Mandalika was completed just prior to the event, significantly reducing travel times and also eliminating excess traffic from the route to Samara Lombok.
The momentum will continue as we welcome major international brands including ClubMed, Paramount Studios, and the five-star Pullman Hotel, scheduled to open in May 2022. As if the wild, natural wonder of Lombok isn’t enough, our land and villa owners will have access to a plethora of entertainment options at Mandalika including 2 championship golf courses, cinemas, shopping, luxury hotels, restaurants, and more.

GREENHOUSE AT SAMARA HILLS
Our first crop of food production at our Samara Hills Greenhouse is ready for harvesting and will be distributed throughout the surrounding villages and Hospitality School attendees.
Samara Hills is the heart of our sustainability project; a flourishing oasis of organic vegetable gardens, tropical fruit trees, a Plant Nursery, Greenhouse and Hospitality School for our local community. We are delighted to share that we have just started food production at the Greenhouse this month, which is now supplying our local community with chemical-free, fresh produce.
Nestled between lush green hills overlooking the ocean, the Greenhouse is a beautiful glass structure flooded by natural light, with facilities for growing, washing and packaging food for distribution. Once we complete construction of our on-site facilities and villas, the Greenhouse will also be a source of clean food production for our restaurants, villa owners and guests, in addition to our local community.

We recently announced our new Farm-to-Table Concept, neighbouring our Organic Garden Plots at Samara Hills. This will be an idyllic location to enjoy an afternoon by the pool with a nourishing selection of organic dishes, straight from the garden, an expansive lounge area to soak in the views of South Lombok, extensive drinks menu and Farm Shop where you can purchase local produce to bring home to your villa. With a low-level design, nestled amongst several thousand newly planted trees, rice paddy fields and organic gardens, the Farm-to-Table concept will preserve the pristine views and blend seamlessly into our natural surroundings.
